I have no idea how this is possible, but when Kubo stopped the fighting, wrapped up the Aizen plot (FOR NOW!), and basically had Ichigo start over from scratch...Bleach became enjoyable again.

Halloween poem "The Story of Beth"

A few days ago you may have seen me post, in a series of consecutive Tweets, a poem that I wrote in a fit of spontaneity. Since it's officially Halloween now, at least in my time zone, I figured I'd put it all up in a single place so you can read it from top to bottom. I don't know if anyone enjoyed it, but I figure it can't hurt to put somewhere, especially since I need to get back to putting stuff on this blog regularly.

I'm not certain if there's a particular term for the format of this poem, but each line consists of seven syllables, and alternating lines rhyme in each four-line stanza. So line one rhymes with line three and line two with line four. I wouldn't really call the poem scary, but it is intended to be grim.

Some Immediate Thoughts on Inception

I got back from seeing Christopher Nolan's Inception about thirty minutes before I started to write this post, and hence I am still reeling from the experience. One of the few complaints I have, at least immediately, is that it was a bit difficult to follow - not in terms of the action or the plot, but the dialogue. Mostly because Hans Zimmer's music would drown out whatever silent conversation there was, and the accents of a few of the characters made understanding them absurdly difficult. But that's not why I'm writing this, I'm writing this because of the ending. That ambiguous, ambiguous ending.

Let me relate this story chronologically without framing it, since I'm sure anyone who has seen my recent Twitter posts knows where this is going.

Yesterday at about 1 pm I was getting ready to drive from my apartment in Gainesville to Palm Harbor to spend the week with my family between Summer semesters. The drive usually takes between two and two and a half hours, I hadn't eaten since waking up about three hours earlier, and so I decided to get something to eat because I was starving. So first I drove to Chick-fil-A.
